THAT FUCKING TANK & GRABBA GRABBA TAPE SPLIT 7". That Fucking Tank contribute the imaginatively titled “Andrew” & “James” – two amazing songs that clock in over a whopping 8 minutes. The band, recently described as “Prog-Bastards,” were slightly concerned that the audio may spill off the end of the vinyl and onto turntables everywhere, but thankfully it all sounds banging and contained. Flip the disc over and Madrid’s Grabba Grabba Tape will tear off your ear flaps with synth-punk attacks (Two original tracks & two amazing Minor Threat covers). If you like Devo, Residents or Polysics, check it out. According to Michael from This Ain’t Vegas, the Grabba Grabba Tape’s side is “better” than Tank’s – no mean feat.

That Fucking Tank are taking a tiny break whilst Andrew builds a paper chimney but a full length record is scheduled to be recorded in late July. It is going to be long and will feature loads of our friends making a racket with us!! Look out for more news on this here and on the Jealous Records page. Kill Yourself’s album is nearly done too. It bangs!! After the finishing touches are put to it, hopefully it will be released. Suffice to say, the three mystery members of this band are mega-pleased with it thus far. Discussions have been going on about putting up a Baby Auction My Space (God forbid), so hopefully new Kill Yourself songs (plus others) can be hosted for the listening pleasure of all!!

Grabba Grabba Tape have some news but it is best to go visit their website for it in their own words. If you live in Madrid, there are some good gigs coming up!!! We like this band and so should you….

And finally, Eagle Eye have recorded for a single on Jealous Records. Details are Top Secret but expect a release date of Summertime and a wedge of gigs to follow…. In the meantime oggle these beauties:

Hi, not much going on here. Apart from the greatest fucking tour of anyone's life! As if that isn't reason enough to bite off your thumbs with excitement, currently being pressed up in a highly unethical and unclean pressing plant in the czech republic is the 8th Obscene Baby Auction release - the split 7" featuring both That Fucking Tank and Grabba Grabba Tape. Cripes! That Fucking Tank put on two songs with an indistinct end and beginning from a recording session with Moz at Christmas 2004. Grabba Grabba Tape have 4 super tracks, including their vocoder reworking of Minor Threat, each sounding differently superior to the last depending on which order you listen to them in. The record will be in our house on April 19th and available from all the gigs and mailorder (£3.50). However, there are only 500 being made so if you want one get to the gigs.

That Fucking Tank will also have another 7" for sale on the tour where they cover Red by King Crimson. It is funny and odd but Monster Killed By Laser doing Larks Tongues in Aspic Part 2 on the other side make it totally unavoidable to buy. It is on new label Run Of The Mill Records which is Sophie off of Jealous. That will be available at the gigs or by mailorder and is similarly limited to 500 copies.

Check out www.thatfuckingtank.tk. It is real and will be up and running (no shit..the joke has got tired) by the start of the tour; there will be pictures and writings and all that kind of crap and it means we can stop clogging up this lovely site with a load of That Fucking Wank. The Kill Yourself record has pretty much finished being mastered by Joe Osborne www.joesmastering.co.uk. It sounds very pro and is apparantly a 'very strong collection of songs' according to one source. As soon as some time can be pencilled in to bring all three parts of the band together to form a touring unit then some record releasing plans will be concrete-ised. Til then you can go look for the CDR copy buried under some twigs in Hyde Park.

Eagle Eye will be playing the Common Place, a new venue/artspace venture in town, on Monday the 18th April with Printed Circuit and others - this will be guaranteed to make you feel fun.

Pixel Pixel Pixel has more live plans, but as yet these are secret and known only to the Bunny.

Also if you live in Leeds and have an interest in Contemporary Art then there is a public arts festival happening at the end of May. Lots of free booze and vague gesturing towards issues. Check out www.blac-dogs.org for the fun bits.

Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii,

Some festive new-yearish news for it: In similarity to last time's news we just returned from a totally amazing time in smashing mainland Europe and un-computerable thanks goes in the direction of all the lovely people who helped out, let us stay at their house, played with us, made us the best food ever and were generally ace everywhere (apart from Mikro who was a right cunt).

That Fucking Tank got to play with some excellent bands not least the wonderful Poltergroom who seemed to be at every single gig and in the van all the time. You may not have heard of Poltergroom so here is an introduction: they are members of Dungeon Dungeon and Isambard Kingston Brunel and currently reside in London, if you like Arab on Radar or US Maple then definitley check them out..if you don't then definitley check them out, they are best. Chevreuil were also a super-group we were blessed enough to musically compete with in Strasbourg, they are from Nantes and are one guitar, drums and four fucking amplifiers. Check out http://ruminance.free.fr to learn more. Ruminance is also home to many other exciting bands that it would be healthy to familiarise with. Go to it.

Before that all happened Kill Yourself had a lovely day in the studio in Liverpool recording the rest of the songs to form an album to be released some time in the next 6 months or so. The whole thing is finished now and just needs mastering and sequencing and art work and shit sorted out. It is pretty heavy. Robert Whiteley did a beautiful job recording it so if you are in a band or want some sounds recorded in a mint manner then he is the person to go to. Having to stay in Liverpool for several hours is a small sacrifice to make for time in this man's christ-esque company. Contact us for his contact details.

That Fucking Tank will be recording the set of riffs and noises that form songs performed in Europe a couple of days after xmas. This will also form some kind of record, an e.p perhaps, so keep your ears to the ground or your computers to find out when and where it will be available. Apart from the new Tank songs a King Crimson cover will also be recorded (with special guests) to be made in to a 7" released by Jealous records. Rumours have it that the other side will feature Leeds riffing-beasts Monster Killed by Laser, which will be excellent.

Grabba Grabba Tape are coming! Prepare to shit yourself silly, we are in the process of booking a tour for one of the greatest acts of all time..Grabba Grabba Tape of Madrid. At the end of April they will arrive on our crusty shore and spend an entire week with That Fucking Tank playing gigs and wearing elaborate costumes and talking nonsense. If you want this twin-set of noise duos to visit your town in the UK then please get in touch. Grabba Grabba Tape make a sublime noisey pop mess and have played with Lightning Bolt and Daughters and loads of other crap. I defy you not to split your head in half smiling when they play, look at the gssh gssh website for photographic evidence.

LOT 008 will be a split 7" between Grabba Grabba Tape and That Fucking Tank made available for the end-of-April tour. We will be teaming up with gssh gssh to produce a thing of both aural and visual amazement in a very limited quantity so make sure you get to the gigs somehow..it may be your only chance. Details of the tour will go up soon but check the forum because its much easier that way.

Morning!

Sorry for the lack of early-October news but we were off somewhere hot and nice so bad luck. Both the Kill Yourself/ This Aint Vegas Euro tour and Spanish Tank adventure went swimmingly well and everyone in all the countries and towns we visited deserve a totally massive thanks. Special mention and attention should be drawn to Lolo and Ingrid in Madrid who do a thing called Gssh Gssh Records (www.gsshgssh.com) which shall be added to the links page; the bands are great and the records look fucking-sweet so please check it. Hopefully we’ll collect some photos together of the last few weeks and wang them up under the photos sections.. if you have any then email them to our computers and they will appear.

It got a brief mention last news but the new Kill Yourself record (Obscene Baby Auction LOT007) is now out, we made it fast and in secret. The covers are hand screened and held together with annoying little split-pins but everyone seems to think they are beautiful things. The vinyl is blue, the labels are hand stamped and its also LTD to 300 copies which are all hand numbered. Please buy it. The songs featured were recorded in our last session with Robert Whiteley and feature Giles Bailey’s scary baby through a gas mask vocals. The songs are ‘You are Good’ and ‘Fill the Sails’. You will only be able to buy it from us as it was originally planned to be a tour-only souvenir but we have some left so buy it fast. £4 will cover special postage to your door and cheques can be made payable to James Islip or Andrew Abbott if that is too complicated.

In extra-Kill Yourself news some recording is happening after a couple of live appearances detailed below. Of course, it will be with the greatest recorder of all Robert Whitley and the session will birth 4 new songs (including a Minutemen cover) and maybe a couple of oldies re-recorded. At some point all this new recording will be collated into a ‘long playing record’ and become available to the public but not for a while. In the meantime you can buy the new 7” or if you want more The Audacious Art Experiment are releasing some Kill Yourself fossils as a split 7” with also-extinct USA rock band Early Humans. Apparently the art work is awesome and made of stickers. Yep.

More monthly news-a-thon as promised and now delivered. However, not that much worthy of mass-chat, appears we blew our news load over the last couple of months. See this more as a collective ball-lick and thanks gesture.

Thanks. July 17th was absolutley stormer brilliant. The bands were all great, the crowd was great, great great great. If you were there you will have noticed piles of the new baby auction comp which is well and truly available now. There are a few copies in shops in Leeds but if you have cells in your brain box then you will know to order one direct from our house as it is most cheap and convenient. Just go to the records bit and follow the instructions. Of course if you can't be arsed then the bands on the comp all have copies so go and meet them in a pub.. maybe when they are playing a live gig.

The next bid thing in Baby Auction land is the migration of both Kill Yourself and This Aint Vegas to mainland Europe for a tiny month. If you are blessed enough to live in one of the countries the tour will be visiting you are guaranteed to have a good laugh so please go. Kill Yourself will also be releasing a LTD 3 song Tour Only 7" with tracks from a forthcoming album which will no doubt become 'ebay gold' in dusty years to come.
